A friend asked me how I took it when people criticized my columns with the comment, "who does she think she is?" or its cousin, "she's not from around here, where does she get the nerve to write that?"
It is, truth be told, my favorite criticism. Because if that is all of you've got, if geography is the fundamental lynchpin of your disagreement with me, you aren't making the point the you think you are.
Chances are you're becoming future column fodder.
